About Scouts Tasmania - Old Beach Scout Group
ABOUT SCOUTS: Scouts is for both boys and girls (girls make up almost 50% of youth scouts) and Scouts is welcoming and all-inclusive of any (or no) religion. Scouts contributes to the education of young people through outdoor and group activities, youth leadership training, values and confidence/resilience building, respect for the environment, community service and exploration of the world we live in.
The backbone of Scouting are adult volunteers, who care about the guidance and development of the young people (away from a screen) as well as the community in which they live. You’re never too old to join the adventurous life of Scouting, even if you haven’t been involved before.
