About Bus Preservation Society of WA Inc

The Bus Preservation Society is a not-for-profit organisation whose aim is to preserve the many facets of Western Australia's bus-transport history. This includes the preservation and restoration of various makes and models of buses representative of the types that have been operated in WA, and the collection and preservation of historical archives associated with major public bus undertakings. Due to the demographics of WA, the collection is dominated by the primary metropolitan government undertaking which commenced operation 50 years ago - ie the Metropolitan (Perth) Passenger Transport Trust (MTT), and its successor, Transperth. However, the Society collectively and individual members personally have worked to ensure that other undertakings such as the former WA Government Railway Road Service and private operators' vehicles are also preserved for posterity.
