We help sick and injured patients around Australia and the world to get the medical care they need.

From rapid response to inter-facility transfers, our team of 400 doctors, aviation crew and support staff is a lifeline to vulnerable individuals.

Across Australia CareFlight doctors attend to more than 10 patients a day.

As a leading Australian charity we operate 11 medically equipped rescue helicopters and 2 air ambulance Learjets across 14 locations. Seven of these are CareFlight’s own aeromedical bases. We supply doctors, nurses and paramedics to all Queensland rescue helicopters and the iconic Royal Flying Doctors aircraft.

Our staff are specially trained in pre-hospital retrieval medicine through our internationally recognised training academy.

CareFlight has airlifted over 40,000 patients over the last 3 decades.

We serve both the community and industry clients, operating a charitable service and ‘profit for purpose’ commercial enterprises that helps fund our charitable activity. Surplus profit from our social enterprises are used to make sure our community helicopters remain on standby 24 hours a day everyday of the year.
