Do you love to play table games? Would you like to visit residents and play table games with them?

Help our elderly residents enjoy outings as you drive them on short local trips for 1-2 hours. Outings may include a picnic morning tea or lunch. You will be accompanied by one of our care staff who will look after the residents’ care needs. As the bus is an 11 seater, you will need a current Australian C class driver’s license and five years of good driving history. We will provide training and ongoing support from an on-site volunteer coordinator

We are looking for a Volunteer Visitor to connect with an older woman who cannot get out and about any more due to age related illness. This woman has given 6 years’ service as a volunteer, has limited connection with family, and is now hoping to have someone to chat with regularly. She is an animal lover & would love someone to talk to about everyday things.

Do you enjoy hosting a good old sausage sizzle? We’re looking for volunteers to assist staff with a barbecue for residents in their cottage garden. Staff will be on hand, your role will be to turn the food over, so it cooks through and chat with residents around the barbecue.

Are you creative? Do you have a passion for arts and crafts? Share your love for arts and crafts with residents of a local aged care facility. Use your creativity and artistic skills to assist people to create their own pieces. Resources will be provided, all you need to bring are your ideas and enthusiasm.

Make a difference to the life of an elderly person by becoming a volunteer carer. Carers deliver a range of 'At Home' Aged Care services and mostly work independently in client homes. As needed support is provided by a Care Manager. Carer responsibility is customised to suit the ability and interest of the volunteer carer. Duties could include assisting with personal care, medication assistance, meal preparation, light housework, shopping and assistance with appointments and outings.

We are seeking volunteers to support the spiritual and emotional needs of elderly people living in an aged care home. As a pastoral care volunteer, you’ll be actively involved with a local Christian church. You’ll supplement and complement the work of our Residential Pastoral Care Coordinator and under their direction, you may support people to meet their spiritual needs, support people and families in times of crisis and nurture spiritual development.

Assist the current Activities Team with recreational activities and socialisation activities for residents. This may include assisting with setting up activities, activity participation and guidance. Your enthusiastic nature and ability to engage with our residents will be highly regarded.

Spend time with an elderly person who would like a social visitor at our residential aged care home. You'll love this volunteer opportunity to chat, provide companionship and reduce their sense of isolation. The commitment is for a minimum of one hour per week for 12 months or longer.
