Friendly Visitor Needed! Do you enjoy talking and hearing other people’s stories? As a volunteer visitor at Eldercare Aged Care Home Trowbridge House you get the opportunity to spend time with a resident, get to know them and have a positive impact on their lives by being a companion.

The gardening program support volunteer will collaborate with the leisure and lifestyle team and volunteer gardening program to assist in the delivery of gardening programs and linked activities which are designed to maintain and enhance the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of residents based on their individual needs, interests and cultural backgrounds.

Having good social connections is essential for all aspects of health, especially as we age. The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) and Volunteer Visitors program supports older Australian’s who live in an aged care facility or their own home and who are lonely or socially isolated.

We are seeking people who can speak Polish to provide support and companionship to residents at our Seaton and West Lakes Aged Care home.

Volunteering with the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) enriches the lives of older people experiencing social isolation by forming long-lasting relationships and helping the residents to feel companionship and a sense of purpose.

Telechat supports older Australian’s who live alone and have minimal social contact with others in their community.

The Leisure and Lifestyle support volunteer will collaborate with the Leisure and Lifestyle Team to assist in the delivery of programs and activities which are designed to maintain and enhance the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of residents based on their individual needs, interests and cultural backgrounds.

The musician volunteer is responsible for bringing their musical talent to perform and bring the joy of music to the residents enabling residents to enjoy favourite tunes and songs and reminisce through the power of music.

The resident companion volunteer will liaise with the Leisure and Lifestyle Team to provide one-to-one support and companionship to residents who have been identified to be socially isolated to maintain and enhance the emotional and social well-being of residents based on their individual needs, interests and cultural backgrounds.

Registrations of Interest are invited for the role of Volunteer Biographer with Eldercare's Biography Service. Biographers assist a resident who is living independently in an Eldercare Retirement Living village to record in writing the story of his or her life.
