About Pichi Richi Railway Preservation Society Inc - PRRPS
Celebrating 50 Years since the Society was established. In 2021 we were awarded - WINNER 2021 SA Tourism Award for TOURIST ATTRACTION
We operate a heritage tourist railway, running steam & diesel locomotives on part of the old Ghan line between Quorn & Port Augusta, South Australia.
Our 100% volunteer organisation operates and maintains this heritage tourist railway and rolling stock as a living and working museum. We have a large collection of historic locomotives, goods and passenger vehicles, which have been restored or are being returned to original and authentic working order.
Running a railway requires people from all walks of life and people willing to learn new skills or share their knowledge and experience.
We are family friendly, welcome enthusiastic and motivated people who can volunteer any of their time, and are flexible with your availability.
