Capecare are looking for people to assist staff in taking small groups of residents for walks and wheelchair walks in the gardens. Pushing of wheelchairs is a requirement of this role.

Capecare Volunteer Program requires volunteers for up to 15 hours per week to assist with tasks over 2 or 3 days per week. This role includes a diverse range of activities including assisting the Lifestyle team with garden walks, mobility walks, one-on-one chats, lifestyle activities. Volunteers will be supported by Lifestyle staff and allied health staff.

Do you have some time to spare during the week or on the weekend? We are in need of people to provide point of contact for our residents and others. Duties will include serving customers, ensuring the shop shelves are neat and tidy, and chatting to residents when they come into the shop. No heaving lifting or wheelchair pushing is required for this role. Time to be negotiated. Also seeking someone to open the shop for 2 hours on a Saturday.

There is a relaxed, homely atmosphere with residents encouraged to be involved in the many activities available and to enjoy the lovely gardens which extend to the beach.

This role will involve greeting family members and visitors to the facility and assisting them in the sign in process and with any queries they may have.

Attend the residents' bus trip to Origin's Market and assist residents with getting on and off bus, chat with and assist residents during visits to community events.
