Coonara Community House is a not for profit organisation that offers affordable or no cost programs to upskill, reskill and socialise. Located in Upper Ferntree Gully we offer over 70 different classes, courses, workshops, recreational groups and activities to the community each term.

Coonara Community House is located at the base of the beautiful foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. Offering a range of classes, workshops, courses and activities Coonara is a busy community space with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Work as part of a team to mow lawns and complete general gardening duties in our beautiful gardens in the foothills of the Dandenongs.

Work as part of a team to prepare and serve community lunches every Wednesday. Learn how to assist with catering for community events, prepare baked goods and work with the community garden team to prepare fresh food.

Coonara Community House is requiring volunteers to join their busy social enterprise program. Coonara has developed a social enterprise environment and needs volunteer roles for pallet furniture making, propagation of herbs and vegies and Knitting items for charity (Tues/Wed) and cooking for the community lunch on Wednesdays. Those needing to volunteer for the 15 hours for Job seeker allowances are very welcome to apply.

Coonara Community House requires a reception and administration to join the team who is an outgoing, positive and a compassionate person. As the first point of contact, this role is ideal for someone who is organised and confident in dealing with people from all walks of life, providing a welcoming smile and presenting a professional experience to the community. Experience in reception, office administration and customer service preferred
