The Monsignor Hawes Heritage Centre (MHHC) is a state-of-the-art interpretive centre, within the grounds of St Francis Xavier's Cathedral, that tells the story of architect-priest Monsignor John Cyril Hawes. The Monsignor Hawes Museum Attendant will engage with visitors to help them appreciate the wonderful story of Monsignor John Cyril Hawes and to take the opportunity to visit the many places he built in the Midwest and Gascoyne region of WA.

It was established in 1986 and features a range of thematic displays, including wars in the Pacific, Port history, the evolution of ships and the Yongala shipwreck. The Bradman Museum shop sells a curated selection of new and vintage collectables, books, sport apparel, mementos, children’s toys and more. If you have experience in designing store layouts and visual merchandising displays to maximise customer experience and sales potential, we’d love to learn from you. We also have an online store front which we are in the process of redesigning on top of doing a merchandising refresh with brand-new branding thanks to our design partners.

The museum is only open 2 mornings a week. We need more people so that we can open other times. Front of house involves greeting visitors, recording visitor numbers, recording any sales and ensuring museum is clean & tidy. Training will be available so that you can help with answering visitor questions re local history.

Come and join a great volunteer team at Norah Head Lighthouse Reserve at our great little shop "The Stable Shop". This volunteer team carries out retail sales at our shop. They sell souvenirs, cold drinks, ice creams and packaged snacks and tickets to our visitors to the reserve. The Customer Service role has two components - Ticket Sales and Souvenir Sales. Previous sales and customer service, cash register and EFTPOS terminal experience would be well regarded, but not essential. On the job training will be provided.

Live on-site at the Women's Museum of Australia within the secure walls of the heritage-listed Old Alice Springs Gaol! You must have own caravan, (max 2.9m in height) with own shower and toilet. In exchange, we ask for 6 hours on a Saturday and 6 hours on a Sunday and a few hours per week of general light maintenance duties and roster cover when needed with two days per week off, usually Tuesday and Wednesday.

Volunteers are needed to help out at the Historic Albany Goal (not the real one!). Training will be provided. so that you will be able to provided. Also locking and unlocking the goal. Currently looking for people to do a shift on the weekend; Saturday & or Sunday alternating shifts 10-1 or 1-4pm. Sunday 10-1. If you like to meet new people and love history this could be a great opportunity for you.
