The Monsignor Hawes Heritage Centre (MHHC) is a state-of-the-art interpretive centre, within the grounds of St Francis Xavier's Cathedral, that tells the story of architect-priest Monsignor John Cyril Hawes. The Monsignor Hawes Museum Attendant will engage with visitors to help them appreciate the wonderful story of Monsignor John Cyril Hawes and to take the opportunity to visit the many places he built in the Midwest and Gascoyne region of WA.

Opportunities exist for volunteers in multiple roles: heritage guides, customer service, visitor information assistants, and village “stollers” in heritage costume. The Rockingham Museum is a community museum which is managed by the Rockingham District Historical Society Inc. It is committed to the collection, preservation, documentation and interpretation of the heritage of Western Australia in General, with the emphasis on the history of Rockingham District, for future education and enjoyment of the wider community. The Museum is housed in an Art Deco building, the former Rockingham Road Board Building built in 1946/47.

The museum is only open 2 mornings a week. We need more people so that we can open other times. Front of house involves greeting visitors, recording visitor numbers, recording any sales and ensuring museum is clean & tidy. Training will be available so that you can help with answering visitor questions re local history.

Come and join a great volunteer team at Norah Head Lighthouse Reserve at our great little shop "The Stable Shop". This volunteer team carries out retail sales at our shop. They sell souvenirs, cold drinks, ice creams and packaged snacks and tickets to our visitors to the reserve. Port Elliot Railway Station are looking for Customer Service Volunteers to help out at their award winning historic railway station. The Customer Service role has two components - Ticket Sales and Souvenir Sales. Previous sales and customer service, cash register and EFTPOS terminal experience would be well regarded, but not essential. On the job training will be provided.

Volunteers are needed to help out at the Historic Albany Goal (not the real one!). Training will be provided. so that you will be able to provided. Also locking and unlocking the goal. Currently looking for people to do a shift on the weekend; Saturday & or Sunday alternating shifts 10-1 or 1-4pm. Sunday 10-1. They engage with visitors and share knowledge and enthusiasm for the Museum and Esperance history. This is a key role ensuring that the Museum is open on the publicised day.
