The museum is only open 2 mornings a week. We need more people so that we can open other times. Front of house involves greeting visitors, recording visitor numbers, recording any sales and ensuring museum is clean & tidy. Join this friendly and passionate team of volunteers. This role involves maintaining and restoring heritage railway rolling stock (rail motors) for operation on the national rail network. Your previous boiler maker experience would be appreciated as the role includes fabrication of metal facilities within our Depot precinct. Our maintenance facilities are located in our Depot at Paterson.

Do you have a love of trains? We are looking for versatile volunteers and have several different positions to fill: Driver / Guard / Signaller / Maintenance Crew and the Kiosk. In each of these positions you can also assist with roles such as customer service, public direction, ticket collection, signal operation, guard, maintenance crew etc. and eventually the elevation to 'Train Driver' for those who are interested.
