An exciting design exhibition is being held in the historic home, Tablescaping which will explore the art of table service and design. 🛩️ Join Us in Preserving Aviation History! 🛩️ Do you have a passion for aviation and a desire to contribute to the preservation of history? The Far North Queensland Aviation Museum invites you to become a valued volunteer and help develop Mareeba's premier community-based aviation museum.

Live on-site at the Women's Museum of Australia within the secure walls of the heritage-listed Old Alice Springs Gaol! You must have own caravan, (max 2.9m in height) with own shower and toilet. In exchange, we ask for 6 hours on a Saturday and 6 hours on a Sunday and a few hours per week of general light maintenance duties and roster cover when needed with two days per week off, usually Tuesday and Wednesday.

Do you have a love of trains? We are looking for versatile volunteers and have several different positions to fill: Driver / Guard / Signaller / Maintenance Crew and the Kiosk. In each of these positions you can also assist with roles such as customer service, public direction, ticket collection, signal operation, guard, maintenance crew etc. and eventually the elevation to 'Train Driver' for those who are interested.
