The Event Volunteer is the friendly and welcoming face of Genealogy SA at events and workshops both on site at the Genealogy Library and at other venues. He/she is responsible for promoting the Society as an organisation of choice in regard to family history research and membership. The role also involves assisting with the set-up for the event, such as setting out chairs, laying out brochures, meeting guests and checking registration lists as guests arrive.

The Monsignor Hawes Heritage Centre (MHHC) is a state-of-the-art interpretive centre, within the grounds of St Francis Xavier's Cathedral, that tells the story of architect-priest Monsignor John Cyril Hawes. Victorian Goldfields Railways are looking for Kiosk and Shop Volunteers

Experience in retail work preferred but not required. Conductors and guards assist with loading passengers onto train, handling the sale of tickets, and assisting the driver with physical work as required. Role is seasonal.

We require volunteers to conduct tours to guide individuals through this heritage house and provide information on the contents and history to visitors to make it an informative and enjoyable experience.
