We are looking for Arabic or Rohingya speaking volunteers to provide language support to adult migrants and refugees attending our monthly Women’s Group in Zillmere. Volunteers play an important role in creating welcome, inclusion and belonging.

Can you support students to increase their language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills? If so, we would love to hear from you. (C)

Centacare FNQ is the lead provider of multicultural services in Far North Queensland. We have been delivering programs that promote a safe, welcoming and supportive space for newly arrived refugee and migrant communities, as well as those seeking asylum for over a decade. We are in need of volunteers who have basic skills as a Carpenter and is willing to pass on the knowledge to refugee and migrant communities to up skill them and help them into employment. Volunteers need to be vaccinated.

Volunteers are needed to assist in the daily operations of our new Op Shop. We are looking for committed and reliable persons to become part of our team. Shop hours will be 10am-3pm Monday-Thursday.

Providing tutoring for adults in the area of computer operations at basic and intermediate level, use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, etc). Duties include: assessing client's computer proficiency, assessing client's need eg: for online training course, personal development, language studies and any other related tasks as requested by management.

We seek a Receptionist for our front desk at our Southport office 3 days a week. You will be the first point of contact and will provide support at the front desk, answer the telephone and provide administrative support for the manager and staff.

The purpose of the position is to assist the students homework / assignments and to support their well being. A Blue card is required. Times available Tuesday, Wednesday 3pm - 5pm.

Visiting refugee families in their Townsville home and/or weekly calls for an hour. Tutors need no qualifications, experience or special skills. We are looking for people who want to know that they can make a difference to a family and to a person’s future.
