Our Meals Program is looking for new volunteers, if you can help out on a weekly or fortnightly basis come join our team. We are currently specifically looking for volunteer's available in the morning throughout the week.

The purpose of the Reception Volunteer role is to welcome people to SMHOW and supporting them throughout their visit while being sensitive to their needs. In doing so, Reception Volunteers provide support and a sense of belonging to the service users of SMHOW.

Volunteer in a wide variety of roles at this organisation supporting the homeless and those at risk of homelessness.

Peplow House provides short-term crisis accommodation for single men aged 18 years and over who are homeless. Support is also provided to help individuals access longer term accommodation, and address issues that are impacting opportunities for longer term accommodation. Support worker is needed to provide assistance to the Peplow House staff. Administrative tasks, with the opportunity to go on visits to the cinema, parks, sports with the staff and residents.

McAuley Learning Support aims to re-engage and re-connect school-aged children with learning and they are looking for volunteers that could assist them to fulfil their mission.

To assist in the provision of accurate and up to date information on supports services, service referral pathways and other relevant community information. Operating within the Centre’s policies, procedures and standards and the relevant Government Legislation, Laws and Acts.

To provide information, support and referral services to clients in a one on one basis, in a confidential and impartial manner, operating within the Centre’s policies, procedures and standards and the relevant Government Legislation, Laws and Acts. At all times maintaining the client’s right to make his/her own choices and decision.

To provide support to Knox Infolink and a professional, cheerful and efficient reception area to our clients, in a confidential and impartial manner while operating within the Centre’s policies, procedures and standards. To ensure that prospective clients are attended to, bookings made, and our reception area is always staffed while interviews are being conducted. It is our first point of contact and it is crucial that this position is carried out with confidence and a welcoming attitude.

We are in need of an experienced and competent driver of our little van "The Moving Wardrobe" to take clothes out to the homeless during the day and also at nights. If you have a few hours to spare perhaps you will consider becoming one of our team to help out.
