  1. Volunteers for Charity Bike Ride

    Volunteers are needed for the Capital Limited Breaths & Beats ride at the South Perth foreshore on Sunday 21 April 2024. Help us cheer on the riders crossing the finish-line, with the post-ride community picnic that includes food trucks, presentations, live music and kids entertainment. We are seeking volunteers to help us make the day as smooth as possible for both the riders, vendors, and the external community attending.

  2. Breastfeeding Counsellor and/or Community Educator

    Breastfeeding counsellors are trained volunteers who offer breastfeeding information and mother-to-mother support to women whose babies are breastfeeding and to their families. Their area of expertise is breastfeeding support. The counsellors have to have breastfed at least one baby for a minimum of 6 months and hold a current Certificate IV in Breastfeeding Education (Counselling) (or equivalent) and have to complete ongoing training to up d ate their knowledge and skills.

    The group of volunteers, called 'The Friends' are like minded people of all ages and backgrounds who "like to help". Friendships are formed. Often it is found all that is needed is a sympathetic ear and words of encouragement and cheer. To allay the apprehension of those who find strangeness and loneliness in their new hospital surroundings, the volunteers visit inpatients, escort new patients and visitors to appointments, provide comfort, always with a kind word or gesture and good cheer.
