Inpatient Orientation volunteers provide caregivers with knowledge and support for their hospital stay. It can be overwhelming as a caregiver of an inpatient dealing with the stress of a sick and injured child. As a Inpatient Orientation volunteer you will be able to ease the stress by informing caregivers of services and support networks available to make their stay as supported as possible.

As an Operating Theatre Recovery volunteer, you will work closely with staff to support the post-anaesthetic care of patients by providing comfort, as well as reconnecting and regulating caregiver visits. We are looking for Volunteers to join our existing force of 'Everyday Super Heroes' as a Weekend Warrior, at our Townsville House. In this volunteer role, you will be the face of the organization and the first point of contact for our families, volunteers, donors and visitors who walk through our doors during weekend hours and provide support in the event of an emergency. You will ensure efficiency of House operations at weekends, with 3 different 4 hour shifts available between 8am - 8pm.

To act as after-hours sentinels who ensure the efficiency of evening House operations from 4.30PM – 8.00PM Monday - Friday and weekends Saturday & Sunday 3 shift per day available :- 8.00am - 12.00pm 12.00pm - 4.00pm, 4.00pm - 8.00pm.
