Volunteer Home Visiting aims to empower families and enhance their social inclusion through building their confidence and connection to their community with the support and companionship of a volunteer. Families are based across the Gold Coast and matching is based on volunteers' location and family/carers interests, availability and experience and the goals identified by the family. A Volunteer is matched to provide support one visit per week for 2 hours, over a minimum 6-month period.

Playgroups provide opportunities for families to create social connections and learning opportunities. Child and Family Service on the Gold Coast, Early Years Centre provides educational and social support to families and their children. Volunteers support staff to facilitate groups and develop connections with families attending. If you enjoy working with children and families or looking to work in the field, this role could suit you!

Family Drug Support (FDS) offers a 24/7 National Support Line for families & carers supporting someone with substance use issues. Volunteers are trained in the Family Drug Support model to offer non-judgmental support to reduce the isolation and stigma that people experience.

We have a large suite of programs to offer the public. We are expanding into the City of Knox from Break 40 Cafe at 40/1880 Ferntree Gully Rd. We need local volunteers to assist us to recruit participants to our programs and to help cement these programs as regular fixtures for the local community. These are all groups with a therapeutic angle (eg men's & women's support groups, artistic expression opportunity groups like open mic nights, kids breakfast club or after-school safe spaces.
