Way Finding Volunteers help families navigate their way around the Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH).Everyday QCH sees more than 1000 families come through the doors and the Way Finders are often the first point of contact for worried and often hurried parents, offering a welcoming smile and a gentle guiding hand.

As an Operating Theatre Recovery volunteer, you will work closely with staff to support the post-anaesthetic care of patients by providing comfort, as well as reconnecting and regulating caregiver visits. Volunteer Home Visiting aims to empower families and enhance their social inclusion through building their confidence and connection to their community with the support and companionship of a volunteer. Families are based across the Gold Coast and matching is based on volunteers' location and family/carers interests, availability and experience and the goals identified by the family. A Volunteer is matched to provide support one visit per week for 2 hours, over a minimum 6-month period.

Child and Family Service on the Gold Coast, Early Years Centre provides educational and social support to families and their children.
