Repair Lab Melville is a community event run by volunteers who use their skills to help people repair items that would otherwise be discarded and sent to landfill. Repair Lab Assistants will help set up and pack up the event, help Repair Lab Melville attendees to carry items for repair into the venue, answer general enquiries and direct attendees to repair stations.

One of the most important jobs we have here at the frog hospital is washing up! We need someone to wash all our items in simple cleaners and most of our components are plastic or ramekins. There are some glass aquariums for any big strong fellas that turn up! Attention to detail is important for this task and it goes by faster if participants are in pairs.

Our organisation runs out of a house on an acreage property and is subject to real estate inspection every three months. Additionally, our President is allergic to dust and can't let too much dust pile up or else she gets sick. We need help with this so that the facility is spotless for those inspections and also for visitors who expect that a wildlife hospital is always in pristine condition!!

The Bradman Foundation, Museum & Oval has a small team of gardening volunteers who help keep our gardens blooming - including our treasured memorial garden for the late Sir Donald Bradman and Lady Jessie Bradman. The Knox Environment Society (KES) is a membership-based organization of like-minded individuals that have a concern for the environment. KES work closely with Knox Council, other Environmental Groups, Friends Groups and individuals to achieve the Society's objectives.

As one of the Repair Volunteers, you will assist visitors to the repair cafe to: * fix their broken/damaged household items. You will already have the skills to fix one or more of the following: * electrical/electronic/mechanical items * clothing/bedding/other * textiles, jewellery, toys, woodwork, metalwork, bicycles, * and/or other general items You will be able to provide advice to visitors about whether specific items * can be fixed & the parts needed.

The Mernda Repair Café Volunteer Support will work with the MRC Team and support the running of the Mernda Repair Café monthly events. The MRC Volunteer Support will work closely with the Coordinator and Staff of the Mernda Community House and the MRC Steering group.
