Our Cadet Program runs from April to October each year. It is open to kids between the age of 12 - 16. Cadets are trained in various facets of Firefighting and other skills. Teamwork and Communication are a big part of this program and we have had many of our Cadets stay on after turning 16 to become Active Volunteer Firefighters. St John's Phone Coordinators work as part of a rostered team. While on shift, Phone Coordinators are responsible for dispatching the local volunteer ambulance crew as required. Phone Coordinators do not take 000 calls, but are contacted by the central St John's Communications Team with relevant information for incidents.

St John is looking for local legends to support their regional communities as a Volunteer Ambulance Officer. This role involves attending emergency and non-emergency ambulance calls, as well as other duties as required. All training provided.
