There are a variety of interesting roles available and not all of them are on the front line. Roles may include Logistics, Building repairs, Community education, Search and rescue or even Administration and Social media.

  6. SES Volunteers

    Volunteers are involved in search, storm damage, rescue and cliff rescue and other emergency services. Training is once a fortnight, with longer courses being run over a weekend which involves everything needed to know on search, rescue to enhance skills. A program is set on the type of courses that will involve the Unit every six months and includes areas such as: Map Reading, Ladder Slide, Mountain Rescue, Chainsaw Operation, 4WD, Land/Search Techniques, Forensic Search, Basic General Rescue.
