Our Cadet Program runs from April to October each year. It is open to kids between the age of 12 - 16. Cadets are trained in various facets of Firefighting and other skills. Teamwork and Communication are a big part of this program and we have had many of our Cadets stay on after turning 16 to become Active Volunteer Firefighters. Cadets may also have the opportunity to go on Camps run by the Brigade, DFES also give Cadets opportunities to go on camps.

St John's Phone Coordinators work as part of a rostered team. While on shift, Phone Coordinators are responsible for dispatching the local volunteer ambulance crew as required. Phone Coordinators do not take 000 calls, but are contacted by the central St John's Communications Team with relevant information for incidents.

St John is looking for local legends to support their regional communities as a Volunteer Ambulance Officer. This role involves attending emergency and non-emergency ambulance calls, as well as other duties as required. All training provided.

Donnybrook SES are a team of dedicated volunteers who respond to natural hazards such as storms, floods, cyclones, and earthquakes, and assist with land searches, vertical rescue, and fire ground support. General training is once a fortnight which involves everything needed to know on search, rescue to enhance skills. Commitment to attending training both fortnightly and over a weekend is a requirement. Able to work in a team and a able to commit to courses. Our Behind-the-Scenes Team assist in the auditing of the Collection and maintenance of entries in the database.
