Our Social Centre volunteers work alongside our staff in social centres to provide a supportive place for older Australians to connect with others and engage in activities that look after their health and wellbeing. You will help to organise meaningful activities for our clients, such as music, arts, and craft sessions; gardening, and social outings in the community. We're looking for a kind, caring and supportive friend for some of our Italian residents at our Wattle Grove Community in Lalor. Whether you love to read the paper, sing & enjoy music or having a cuppa and a chat our residents would love to spend time with you. We're hoping you can be the gentle supporting hand to assist our residents to become more involved in day-to-day life at the home. The Kokoda Youth Foundation is a dedicated and passionate non-profit organisation committed to running experiential youth programs, which help young people gain physical and mental resilience, confidence, and instill in them the values of Courage, Endurance, Mateship and Sacrifice through the story of the Kokoda Campaign in 1942. The Kokoda Challenge is a signature event that embodies these values and is the main fundrasing avenue for the Kokoda Youth Foundation.
