HorsePower Hills has provided recreational horse riding sessions for children and young people with diverse abilities for over 40 years. This is an exciting time for HorsePower Hills as it progresses building a new riding centre and expanding its riding programs to meet community need. We require a committed, confident person to develop and lead the fundraising program. You will work from home and will be supported by the elected Committee/any fundraising subcommittee that is create.

As a start-up not-for profit peak body, PRECI is currently run entirely by volunteers. We require a volunteer with skills in fundraising, who can support the Directors with innovative and creative ideas to raise funds to support the vision of PRECI! Your skills will assist us in ensuring that children with disability and their families receive high quality support from their services and supports.

Guide Dogs Qld are hosting the Cairns Canine Carnival – a great day out for all ages (dogs included) with dog training and agility demonstrations, market stalls, kids activities and food trucks. We need volunteers to help support various roles within the Carnival such as merchandise stall, logistic set up, gate takings, general venue support.

Down Syndrome Queensland (DSQ) is organising for our young adults with Down syndrome to attend our Challenge Weekend Camps throughout the year and require volunteers to assist us with this event. There are multiple opportunities throughout the year: we will require the volunteers to be available from 3pm Friday to approximately 12pm Sunday. Volunteers will be helping in the water, standing on each side when the surfer comes surfing into the shore, clapping and encouraging as well as guiding them to stay in (need many people to do this). Guide Dogs Tasmania is looking for volunteers that would like to be a part of their collection dog program. Each year significant funds are raised through the collection program that support vital services for Tasmanians who are living with low vision, disability and Illness.

Are you a social butterfly, love to meet new people and be actively engaged in your community? This is a great role for those that would enjoy representing Guide Dogs Tasmania by being face to face with our amazing supporters at events. Various duties include providing information about our vital programs and services, accurately recording sales of merchandise, donations and donor details, cash handling, retail skills, and additional optional opportunities for pubic speaking and presenting.

The Volunteers primary role is to assist the participants to ride a wave! Each participant has a different disability which can either be physical, intellectual or both. Disabled Surfers Association - SA Branch assist them to enjoy the experience of surfing & ensure they stay safe & injury free in the process. A surfing background is an advantage for volunteers but not essential. However you need to be a physically fit, aged 17+ & be comfortable in the water for periods of up to 2 hours.
