Our Puppy Raisers look after an 8 to 10 week old puppy, in their home, for a period of 6 to 12 months This requires a degree of physical fitness, which includes being able to negotiate steps, walk 3-5km per day and frequent bending and lifting (up to 20kg). Puppy Raisers expose our puppies to different environments including public transport, shopping centres etc.

    The Volunteers primary role is to assist the participants to ride a wave! Each participant has a different disability which can either be physical, intellectual or both. Disabled Surfers Association - SA Branch assist them to enjoy the experience of surfing & ensure they stay safe & injury free in the process. A surfing background is an advantage for volunteers but not essential. However you need to be a physically fit, aged 17+ & be comfortable in the water for periods of up to 2 hours.
