The Volunteers Hub at Diamond Valley Community Support is advertising this volunteer role on behalf of Lower Plenty Dance Group, a small not-for-profit volunteer organization running live and online weekly dance for people with intellectual disabilities. The Committee meets every second month on the 3rd Thursday for approx 2 hours to manage the dance group affairs.

We put print to audio, and ensure all members of the low vision and blind community have access to local community information and news. Volunteers will receive full training to undertake the role, as well as mentoring from fellow radio volunteers. If you want to be a vital part of the Radio team of putting print to audio, then this role is for you.

Abbeyfield Garran is a not for profit which provides affordable, inclusive, homelike and safe accommodation for people with a mild cognitive disability where residents can maintain their independence with dignity and choice. The Garran house is run by a volunteer management committee and employs a housekeeper to provide meals and support the residents on a day- to-day basis. We have 10 young adult residents.
