Limbs 4 Life Incorporated is seeking to appoint a volunteer for our Board of Management. We are a dynamic non-profit organisation; established to provide information, support and access to resources for people affected by limb loss. Limbs 4 Life advocate for people with limb loss and their carers to state and federal government departments.

Guide Dogs Qld are hosting the Cairns Canine Carnival – a great day out for all ages (dogs included) with dog training and agility demonstrations, market stalls, kids activities and food trucks. We need volunteers to help support various roles within the Carnival such as merchandise stall, logistic set up, gate takings, general venue support.

Down Syndrome Queensland (DSQ) is organising for our young adults with Down syndrome to attend our Challenge Weekend Camps throughout the year and require volunteers to assist us with this event. There are multiple opportunities throughout the year: we will require the volunteers to be available from 3pm Friday to approximately 12pm Sunday. Dates range however camps are usually held in March and November.

emotion21 is a program of the Inclusion Foundation, that provides Australian-first innovative dance and fitness programs for children and young adults with Down syndrome. The benefits of the program are wide-ranging and include health, exercise, social and self-esteem for participants. The Mover supports the dance class teacher to ensure each participant is engaged, learning and receiving valuable and personalised feedback, and can access the full benefits of the program.

We are seeking volunteers who wish to be involved in supporting people living with disability. Inala is a vibrant and creative Rudolf Steiner inspired community made up of our residents and participants, families, friends, staff and supporters. We need your help!

The Volunteers primary role is to assist the participants to ride a wave! Each participant has a different disability which can either be physical, intellectual or both. Disabled Surfers Association - SA Branch assist them to enjoy the experience of surfing & ensure they stay safe & injury free in the process. A surfing background is an advantage for volunteers but not essential. However you need to be a physically fit, aged 17+ & be comfortable in the water for periods of up to 2 hours.
