Are you looking to make a difference? STEPS Pathways College is an innovative new learning model designed to develop independence for people with a disability. As a STEPS volunteer, you will have the opportunity to assist in a professional and fun environment and feel rewarded by the positive social impact you are helping to create.

Spectrum Space will run our Telethon Holidays Makers Program these July school holidays for children on the autism spectrum. Activities include art and craft, video games, sensory play, board games, cooking and more! We are in need of people to help out with the kids and the activities. This opportunity would best suit students studying psychology, community services, counselling and social work.

Volunteers will assist the STEPS Pathways College trainers with our Boarding College students in and outside of the classroom, by providing guidance, mentoring, additional explanations, and support. Are you looking to make a real difference in someone’s life, learn new skills and have fun doing it? Volunteer with the Interchange Network of agencies and provide support for children and young people with a disability in a range of recreational activities such as youth programs and camps.

Volunteers will assist the STEPS Pathways College trainers with the delivery of learning activities by providing guidance, mentoring, additional explanations, and support to the students. Learning activities for independent living include – communication, healthy living, home maintenance, community connection, social engagement, employment, tenancy, healthy relationships, building friendships, and numeracy and literacy skills.

STEPS Café Volunteers will assist students with disability in a hospitality environment to learn essential skills for employment such as food handling, customer service, money handling and more.

Cooking Program Assistant To assist in cooking classes with adult students. Classes held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. One day a week.

Down syndrome Victoria runs a social group for adults with Down syndrome, we’re called Club21. Club21 has been going in Melbourne for over 10 years and we are very excited to bring Club21 to Warrnambool! Club21 goes out on weekends and does fun, social activities together: going out for lunch, singing Karaoke, watching a show. We are looking for volunteers to support the Club21 social group
