Committee members needed for decision making and direction in operating the RDA in Harvey.
Horse handler duties: catch, groom, lead and prepare mounts for the rider sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays, as well as check horses daily. Side walker duties: walk next to the horse and assist clients with goal achievement and activities.
Prepare kitchen for morning tea, stock up fridge and cupboards.
Weed spraying, trough cleaning, raking leaves and honky nuts, fixing fences and taps etc

The volunteer would assist with the mounting and dismounting procedures, and supporting riders in the saddle. Most of the riders are children.
This is a great position for someone with a love of horses. The volunteer would assist with the handling of the horse and the rider.

Do you love horses? Would you like to assist us as we provide invaluable activities for people with a disability? You will be working with our horses; helping to lead or support riders in a lesson. No previous experience with horses is necessary.
