On Sunday 11 August Muscular Dystrophy will stage Run for Strength - a fun run/walk around Princes Park. We need volunteers to act as marshalls around the course making sure participants dont go the wrong way. It is an easy job but one that is crucial to the success of the event. The Committee meets every second month on the 3rd Thursday for approx 2 hours to manage the dance group affairs.

Volunteers help set up the venue, greet dancers, manage the reception desk, engage and supervise. Scope are seeking volunteers to facilitate a group program for people with multiple disabilities.

Interchange is a program within UMFC’s Carer Aged and Disability Service and provides support to children and young people with disability and their families/carers. Interchange is supported by volunteers to create social and recreational opportunities through group and individual activities. Group experiences include After School Activities, School Holiday Activities and other activities as planned.

Community Visitors uphold the Human Rights of people living in supported care. They visit accommodation facilities and monitor and report on the adequacy of services provided. This role is ideally suited to individuals who are able to visit during day-time hours or late afternoons and who can make a commitment of two years. Training will be provided to support you in the role.

Our monthly Saturday night disco is an event that provides an opportunity for people with disabilities to socialise and course- dance! Professional DJ music and light show included! We need an energetic, helpful volunteer who can assist with setting up, running of the disco activities on the night as well as a quick pack up and clean when finished.

Want to help people with disabilities succeed in finding paid work? As an Employment Coaching Assistant, you can be a mentor to people and assist them in reaching their employment goals. The Bridge Employment works with participants towards obtaining paid employment. As an Employment Coaching Assistant, you will be directed by the course trainer and staff as needed.
