As a volunteer, you don’t need any specific qualifications or experience, just a genuine interest to empower people with disabilities and a willingness to share your skills. Volunteers are people just like you!

The Bridge is always looking for volunteers that are willing to support people living with disabilities and disadvantaged backgrounds to enjoy a range of recreational and sporting activities. We have a wide range of activities that our participants can engage in and each activity is in need of volunteers to assist our staff and support workers.

Do you love gardening? Do you want to get out in the sunshine (weather debatable in Melbourne) and spend some time working with your hands? We need gardeners/landscapers or just people who enjoy being out in the garden that are willing to come and volunteer their time and enthusiasm with our participants. Days needed for participation are Friday morning or afternoon.

Love spending time in the garden? Are you passionate about plants? Then come and volunteer with us! Our nursery propagates quality seeds on-site to produce the thriving stock. Come and be a mentor in this space for individuals with a disability whilst simultaneously nurturing your green thumb!

Join us to work alongside participants who have a variety of disabilities (physical, cognitive, psychosocial/mental health) in a garden environment. You will work with participants to complete activities in the garden, or in one of the specialist programs. Volunteers may be required to undertake some physical tasks such as weeding, digging and moving plants around the site.
