Visiting a person with developmental disability on a regular schedule, usually once every 2 months but occasionally once a month for 1-3 hours, developing a rapport with that person and reporting back on their health or any needs they may have. Spectrum Space will run our Telethon Holidays Makers Program these July school holidays for children on the autism spectrum. Activities include art and craft, video games, sensory play, board games, cooking and more! We are in need of people to help out with the kids and the activities. This opportunity would best suit students studying psychology, community services, counselling and social work.

Down Syndrome Queensland (DSQ) is organising for our young adults with Down syndrome to attend our Challenge Weekend Camps throughout the year and require volunteers to assist us with this event. There are multiple opportunities throughout the year: we will require the volunteers to be available from 3pm Friday to approximately 12pm Sunday. Dates range however camps are usually held in March and November.
