We rely on the generous support of the Western Australian community and businesses to keep our programs running. On International Guide Dog Day we come together to raise awareness of the vital role Guide Dogs play, and shake the collection tins to raise much-needed funds for the Guide Dog training program.

    Roger works full time as a data processor. He is in his 40s and lives with his elderly mother in Duncraig. With autism he finds it difficult to establish friendships. He loves all kinds of sports and is a keen Eagles supporter. He would welcome someone to watch and discuss sport with occasionally on the weekends. He would also like to get out of the house more, perhaps for a coffee. Over time, you would become a trusted friend to Roger who could advocate for him when the need arises.

    We are seeking a confident and kind lady in the Thornlie area, to be a co-advocate to Gemma alongside her existing advocate. Gemma is a lovely lady in her 40’s with an intellectual disability. She is non-verbal but has her own way of communicating. She has supportive staff in her group home that can help teach you these communication techniques. Gemma is sociable and likes to get out and about. She enjoys girl time and has a love for jewellery, nails and hair.
