Assisting MSWA staff members with setting up the awards table, cheering on swimmers, taking banners down, packing down tables, stacking chairs, and loading event items into the event vehicle

Guide and Assistance Dogs change lives. It is the independence and freedom offered by these dogs to our clients that keeps us going. Guide Dog Formal Boarding is part of our wider training program that provides some of the very first homes for our future Guide, Autism Assistance, Facility or Therapy Dogs in training. Our Temporary Boarders provide a short-term foster home and training on an adhoc basis, to cover holidays, illness or emergencies.

We urgently need people who have the patience to get to know and understand each of our horses and become be a horse leader and assist with all aspects of horse and rider care.

Volunteers are needed to help the Disabled Surfers Association "Let's Go Surfing Days". Volunteers will be helping in the water, standing on each side when the surfer comes surfing into the shore, clapping and encouraging as well as guiding them to stay in (need many people to do this). Side walking - No experience necessary. Walking beside horse, supporting clients with disabilities as they ride, making sure they stay safely seated on the horse in accordance with RDAA policies. Leading horses - Volunteers with horse management experience to groom and generally prepare horses for our riding sessions with disabled clients, then to safely lead horses in accordance with RDAA safety policies.

Our Day Club provides interests for both our long term clients and those requiring respite. Activities are designed to keep clients interested and active but do require a number of assistants to help each of the clients involved.

Do you have a woodwork background with some mental health training and group work experience? If so this is a unique volunteer role that could lead to some paid work also. The Workbench program offer a psychosocial based Day-2-Day support program, which gives individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis, the ability to participate in supported social groups with semi-structured activities. A trade background or previous experience in woodwork is required.

Grooming and tacking of horses. Leading a horse with a rider in a lesson. Side walking a rider during a lesson. Assisting coach set up poles, barrels, cones.

General maintenance at a horse riding centre in Capel. All sorts of small jobs need doing.

Volunteer needed to drive a horse float, using own suitable vehicle. Person needs to be confident and experienced with horses.

Our Puppy Raisers look after an 8 to 10 week old puppy, in their home, for a period of 6 to 12 months This requires a degree of physical fitness, which includes being able to negotiate steps, walk 3-5km per day and frequent bending and lifting (up to 20kg). Puppy Raisers expose our puppies to different environments including public transport, shopping centres etc.
