Volunteer required to assist with activities at our centre in Medina. Including driving to pick up and drop off clients to their homes on a Thursday and willing to drive a small bus. C class licence required.

The Cafe is held in a Dementia Friendly Location in Wembley 10am -12 pm. Volunteers are required to work with our dedicated care team to deliver a range of meaningful activities for clients such as music, arts and crafts, puzzles and board games, gardening, meal preparation and social outings in the community. Volunteers must be over 18 years old, complete a National Police check application (reimbursed by Silverchain) and due to the nature of the position proof of COVID-19 vaccinations or GP exemption.

Silver Chain Social and Respite Centre based in Rockingham are looking for a driver to pick up clients from their home for appointments and return them clients home, and also on regular outing trips. You will need a current driver's license and a road worthy car with minimum third-party insurance.

Our volunteers support clients with a life-limiting illness in their homes. Volunteers may offer companionship and practical support. They can provide social support to those living on their own; respite to a client’s carer (i.e. a couple of hours break to a carer each week); or help with shopping. Volunteers must be over 18 years old, able to work on their own in the community but are part of a larger team of dedicated volunteers and staff. Training is provided.

Aged Care Volunteer Visitor's Scheme (ACVVS) volunteers make regular, relaxed social visits and provide companionship and friendship to residents of aged care facilities or older people living in their own homes. Volunteers are matched one-on-one with a participant or run small groups in aged care facilities with residents who share common interests. As a Community Visitor you may learn new skills and make connections that enrich your life as well as the person you visit

Volunteer opportunities are available to Community Transport Volunteers that can include working in a hospital or clinical environment upon successful completion of probationary pre requisites and training. All training is provided by St John Ambulance WA.
