The Townsville Folk Festival is an annual, volunteer run event. It is a family friendly 4 day camping and live music festival.

The Family of League has been given the exciting opportunity to be the 50:50 Raffle, charity partner at the NRL's Magic Round on Sunday 19th of May. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us raise funds to change the lives of those we support in the Rugby League community who are struggling physically, financially and emotionally. We re-purpose discarded bicycles and use the frames as a major component for "rough terrain" wheelchairs, destined for developing countries. Other components are marine plywood, and new BMX style wheels. Since its inception in 1987, well over 11,000 wheelchairs have been sent to developing countries all over the world, predominantly in the South Pacific region and Africa.

Some tasks may include directing and encouraging participants around the course, selling merchandise, and handing out participants' packs. There is even a role for the keen bike riders out there! We need volunteers on the day from 6.45 a.m. to approximately midday in various roles.

Help with Event set up and pack down for our celebration for Awareness Day. We are a support group for people living with fibromyalgia and/or ME/CFS and the organisers also live with these conditions. We therefore have limited energy and strength, but we really want to be able to host this celebration for our group.

Do you have an interest in web development? We have a new website in the process of being built that needs to be finished and maintained. Ideally you love social media also and can help with our Facebook page.
