We are seeking enthusiastic people to join us at VMCH Opportunity Shop in Balwyn on Whitehorse Road, as a retail sales assistant. Balwyn Op shop sells affordable preloved clothes, books, other clean and undamaged merchandise for Women and children. Volunteers are an integral part of VMCH's 4 Opportunity Shops and Warehouse, they help raise vital funds for the people we support.

Red Cross Shops sell new and donated clothes, accessories, and homewares to raise funds to help people in need. Each year, we rescue 2,750 tonnes of clothing from landfill, give opportunities to 5000 volunteers, and generate funds to help Red Cross support vulnerable people in Australia and around the world. The proceeds from the sale of items support the vital everyday work of Red Cross, providing relief in times of crisis and care where it's needed most.

Red Nose Day is our headline fundraising campaign each year, raising funds to support the work of Red Nose in saving little lives and caring for bereaved families, and raising awareness for the cause. The Red Nose website is the supply point for individual, group and corporate Red Nose Day fundraisers. This volunteer role will help ensure supply runs smoothly to facilitate and manage these fundraising activities.

The Toy Library needs someone to volunteer on a Saturday from 12-2pm. The job is helping to sort, check and count toys and put them away on their shelves. There is also some carrying of things to cars as needed by the members who borrow toys. The applicant needs to be physically able, they need to have good concentration and attention to detail. We need someone who is available every Saturday. We are a child safe organisation and have procedures in place to keep children safe.
