The administrative assistant is important position which is the face of the organisation as the first point of contact. Answer the telephone and take accurate messages. Make appointments with clients in person and on the phone managing a diary. Record correspondence received by email and from the post office. Pay and send out invoice. Manage incoming and outgoing emails with the Service Coordinator.
Provide supportive listening, and practical help to clients, on the phone and in person under the supervision of a Service Coordinator. Keep accurate file notes of every client contact as directed. Provide court support to clients on demand. Provide home visits for clients unable to travel to the office for their appointment , or work on google chat or messenger or other face to face telephone service as needed.

As our district treasurer you will be the financial "go-to" person of the Men's Kitchen Canberra district and by joining as we start out in Canberra you will use your bookkeeping or accounting skills to help build the foundations and see the results as you help us grow in the area. This role will manage the financial accounts and control the money flow into and out of the organisation locally, ensuring bills are paid and reports of the results are delivered to the local committee each month.
