2024 has gotten off to a flying start for us with demand for our services continuing to grow. We have many volunteer roles within our organisation, in fact there is almost a role for everyone! This advert is to let you all know of our current roles that are either vacant or we need more assistance with, so please read on...

If you have the time, we have ways to fill it. Social Support is a one-on-one visit or outing with a client on a weekly or fortnightly basis. We are looking for ways to engage our clients within their community with either an activity, outing or home visit. Each week could be a different adventure or a simple task depending on what suits you both. Think shopping, coffee, walks or visits to a gallery museum or even a community meeting or class. Adventure awaits!

As the Maintenance Support Volunteer, you will assist the Maintenance Officer to prepare homes for OARS clients which will include furniture deliveries and removals, with some basic maintenance duties required to provide a smooth transition for those entering new housing whilst being supported by the OARS accommodation team.

As a Transport Volunteer, you will mentor and provide practical support to assist offenders in the community to attend appointments, rehab programs and prison releases.

Drive older people who do not drive and have difficulty using public transport to their appointments. Play your part in a strong local community in the City of Campbelltown.

Get to know a local, older person as a regular part of their support network - driving them to the store and assisting them with their grocery or personal shopping. Contribute to a connected community in the City of Campbelltown.

The Volunteer Driver Assistant will support the primary driver in transporting goods, supplies, or individuals to various locations as needed.

Drive a shower truck over designated routes in accordance with time schedules; to pick up and drop off staff/ Volunteers and participants in a safe and efficient manner. The Driver is responsible, along with the Food Hub Manager, for seeing to it that the shower truck is kept in good operating order. The driver must be a responsible person with a clean driving record and current Australian shower truck driver’s license.
