The City of PAE is an accredited Welcoming City. We are also home to the Welcoming Centre in SA, at Kilburn Community Centre. The rich heritage of our First Nations people, together with those from countries around the globe, is what makes PAE such a unique place to live, work and play. Our community’s diversity inspires and is reflected in our food, art, enterprise, traditions, festivals and celebrations. We are looking for leadership skills to help us run monthly Welcoming Community Dinners.

Every week, all sorts of people do all sorts of things for Meals on Wheels. If you’ve got a bit of time on your hands, we could do with you. If you love to cook and love to lead, you can help your local community by keeping the wheels turning at a Meals on Wheels branch as the Kitchen Coordinator.

Our team based in Gilbert Street is seeking volunteer drivers for our mobile wardrobe vans to service scheduled across AnglicareSA and associated agency site locations including both metropolitan Adelaide and regional areas. We are looking for van drivers and people to attend site visits to distribute the clothing. If you have a patient and friendly manner with people, showing respect and care, then we’d love to have you volunteer with Thread Together. There are no minimum shift requirements

Provide assistance to the centre chef. This will include food preparation, food service, kitchen cleaning etc. Our centre helps to connect people with their local community and provide a wide range of social and recreation opportunities. Volunteers have a positive and essential role by sharing their time, interests and skills with others. Make a real difference in a person’s day by helping to prepare a nutritious meals.

Have you ever wanted to volunteer somewhere, but didn't know where because you are unsure what you'd be suited to? Well, Edwardstown Baptist Church (EBC) has a community centre where you are most welcome to volunteer & explore the various activities they have to find where you best fit. Whether its filling boxes with food for those in need, cooking, assisting in the op shop or taking care of the property, you will have people to work alongside & you will be supporting the community!

The WestCare Centre provides a free breakfast and low cost lunch to anyone needing a helping hand. Hundreds of South Australian's visit our WestCare Centre for food, shelter, support and advocacy. We provide a safe space for people experiencing homelessness to sit, chat, and share a meal with other community members. Volunteering in the kitchen allows you to learn food preparation skills, work as a team, and give back to those who need it most!

The Community Food Hub provides low cost essentials to individuals with a concession card, student card or ImmiCard. This includes pensioners, students and people experiencing homelessness. Volunteering in the Food Hub allows you to learn retail skills, work as a team, and give back to those who need it most!

An Assistant Kitchen Coordinator assists the Kitchen Coordinator where required and steps in when the they are ill, unavailable or on holidays.
