Transport is one of the most important services People Who Care have to offer our elderly and disability clients. People Who Care is addressing the increasing need in this unprecedented time for our clients to be able to still have a transport service. The need from our clients has increased and it is vital for them to stay safe and healthy.

We need volunteers to partner with the Australian Tax Office to enable our community to access free help completing their tax returns. This program is open to all members of the community to enable them to complete simple tax returns online. The volunteer is to take the client through the process so that they may be able to complete their own return in the future.

CVS volunteers visit the lonely isolated seniors or the elderly in an aged care facility or at home on a weekly or fortnightly basis. CVS volunteers provide friendship and companionship through one-on-one or the seniors/the elderly group supports.

We need Delivery Assistants to ride along with our Truck drivers and help with loading and unloading heavy items in our trucks. Our trucks travel throughout Cairns and as far as Innisfail, Tully, Atherton, Ravenshoe, Mareeba delivering stock destined for our retail stores and or directly to people in need.
