About Marine Rescue Rockingham

Marine Rescue Rockingham is part of the Western Australian Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES). Volunteers at local Marine Rescue units work with Water Police to coordinate and perform marine rescues.

Marine Rescue Rockingham is based at Point Peron, Rockingham.
Volunteers form boat crews, radio operators and administrative support.
Active volunteers — Radio Operators, Skippers and Boat Crews — conduct sea rescue/recovery missions 24 hours a day, every day of the year. They are the unsung heros who help keep the boating community safe in local waters. During the designated rostered periods on duty, they can be called out any time day or night to undertake their duties.
