About this opportunity
Nature Foundation SA is seeking enthusiastic walking trail volunteers to help traverse and develop a new walking trail at Hiltaba Nature reserve is located located approx 700km north-west of Adelaide on the Eyre Peninsula (if traveling from Adelaide you will need to allocate a travel day each way). Saturday 18 to Thursday 23 March 2017.
The 780 sq km reserve has very high biodiversity value, protecting nine species of national conservation significance and 40 species of state conservation significance. Nature Foundation SA will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner each day (Sat dinner-Ed dinner) for our willing and much appreciated volunteers, with a small $60/pp charge to help cover costs.
Its BYO camping facilities or you can nominate for a bed in the Shearing Quarters (limited places). NFSA will provide equipment and personal protective gear such as gloves and safety glasses.
Car-pooling is available (limited places).
Open minded people with the love for the native outback who are willing and able to traverse difficult terrain to help develop trail path and signage.
Please Note: As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Volunteer Personal Accident Insurance)
