About this opportunity
We currently hold Charity Garage Sales every four weeks from our founders home in Wanniassa to raise funds for projects that support sustainable development in poor communities. We have raised over $70,000 in the last three years and are now looking to expand and revamp into a more structured opshop type setup. We are looking for an enthusiastic assistant manager to join our team and contribute to this journey by bringing in new ideas, assisting the manager in planning and implementation of changes and to help run the store where possible (although volunteers will also be available for the handson work). If you have an interest in business, retail, reuse of second hand resources and/or raising funds for poverty alleviation then we would love to hear from you.
The hours are flexible and will depend on experience however we are looking for a minimum commitment of 4 hours per week, preferably on a Thursday afternoon, Friday or Saturday.
