YOUR NEW FAMILY:
Orange Sky Laundry is a not-for-profit organisation providing free mobile laundry and shower services to people who are homeless. Through a network of 12 vans outfitted with showers/commercial washing machines and dryers, we go to over 72 locations across Australia where the needs of our friends on the street are greatest. Orange Sky Laundry was founded in July 2014 by friends Lucas Patchett and Nicholas Marchesi. Our organisation comprises seven board members, eleven employees and over 650 amazing volunteers, all with diverse skills and life experiences. We share a common goal of connecting our friends on the street with the community. Our mission is to provide a platform for conversations, volunteering and opportunities for our friends on the street through a free mobile laundry worldwide!

YOUR NEW ROLE:
The Service Manager is the first point of contact for all volunteers in their region. They play an instrumental role in equipping volunteers with the tools and resources they need in order to deliver a service that follows the standards and culture of Orange Sky Laundry. The Service Manager is also provided the opportunity to grow and expand our services in order to help as many of our friends in South East Melbourne as possible.

NOTE: This role is very flexible and can be almost entirely accomplished in the comfort of your own home!!

ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for candidates who have up to 15-20 hours per week to give back to the community through volunteering with Orange Sky. To be successful, you will be really organised, great with people, and have a genuine passion for helping others. You will be able to manage a team of up to 40 volunteers, maintain accurate rosters and records, communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
