About this opportunity
Drug ARM Australasia is offering a unique volunteering opportunity within our Community and Family Support Service (CAFSS) in our SA offices.
CAFSS works with individuals and families with drug and alcohol issues with an aim of harm minimisation. CAFSS provides assessment and support, brief treatment interventions and appropriate referrals within a co-counselling model of service.
We require a minimum 6 month commitment of volunteering 1 day (9am-5pm) per week (the same day each week). All volunteers will be asked to complete an application process that includes undergoing a police check (no fee under the VOAN scheme application process), written application, interview, and mandatory 4 day training (training cost of $75). This application process is to ensure that we gain the highest caliber of volunteer workers in our program as well as ensure volunteers are suitable and compatible with our model of service. Therefore, please note that completing an interview and training does not guarantee a volunteering position.
