School Assistant (Mentor or Learning Support)

Education & Training Regular - more than 6 months Across: Midland WA, Ellenbrook WA, Ballajura WA

About this opportunity

Students in our program are at risk socially/emotionally and or educationally. They are students who have potential but just lack support for a number of reasons. Each school has a variety of fun and engaging sites for the Mentoring and Volunteering to take place within the school. Within the schools a range of activities are available. As a Mentor/Learning Support volunteer you would be placed alongside children with whom you share interests and activities. We have a range of roles to choose from:-

  • One- On- One Mentoring (helping a specific student weekly with academic or social skills)
  • Learning Support (helping students in class with reading, maths or any subject) or;
  • Gardening, library, sports and breakfast club activities.

Simply select a role that suits your interests and lifestyle. You’ll share skills, knowledge and experience that will transform a student’s academic success as well as their social/emotional wellbeing. If this sounds like your cup of idea, apply within (please specify the role you are interested in at the time of application).
