Mentoring Program Support

About this opportunity

We are seeking volunteers to provide support to our current and future participants in our Mens residential rehabilitation program. Support may be in many forms, including sharing your skills and knowledge of a hobby or activity. Perhaps walks, bike riding, and various outings. It will also involve building relationships and mentoring participants. This role would suit someone who can effectively communicate and have a non-judgemental attitude towards men with life controlling issues. Experience in the AOD field would be beneficial but is not necessary to take on a mentoring role. Further training opportunities are available and can be explored person to person.


Additional requirements

Covid-19 vaccination . Driver's Licence (C) . National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.

With the nature of this role, volunteers must at all times abstain from any alcohol or drugs while being a part of our mentoring program.
Good communication skills, high maturity level, and genuine interest to help people in need is expected.
Being an excellent role model is required.
A commitment to privacy and confidentiality is a must.
Having good communication skills, being non-judgemental attitude, and possessing a caring and supportive nature is essential for the role.
Previous experience in training small groups and or the AOD field would be an advantage but not essential as training options can be discussed.
Drivers Licence is also required.
