Driver - Volunteer Bus Drivers
About this opportunity
RYSS is seeking to develop a register of volunteer drivers who hold heavy vehicle (HR Licence) and Regular (C Licence) for its mobile Outreach Youth Centre - The BUS.
Whether running workshops, education sessions, personal development, artistic and entertainment opportunities to isolated CC regions, or parking up at local 'hotspots', festivals and events - the BUS will deliver information and assistance direct to the doorstep of our community.
This role will involve working with young people aged 12-25, some evening/weekend hours and have the ability to establish a good rapport with youth on the Central Coast.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA;
Hold a current, clean HR or Regular C licence. An excellent driving history with previous bus driving experience. Working with Children Check (WWCC) National Police Check Able to undertake WHS & Policy induction with a RYSS staff member and to complete all necessary paperwork. Non-judgmental attitude and willingness to abide by RYSS values of Potential, Inclusion, Community, Excellence and Empowerment.
PREFERRED CRITERIA:
Previous experience working with young people. Previous experience working with wheelchair accessibility.
